Needle Felted Whimsy

This is a little needle felted figure I made using an idea I got from Art Doll Magazine. I needle felted the little guy and added a paper checkered hat, that I also made. I sewed an australian crystal bead on it's lil' heart belly. The head is jointed. The legs are wire that I glued into the wood block and added some silver glitter to finish it. I also painted and glued pieces of vintage sheet music to the block. I really had fun making it!

Star Wars Swap

I am in a Star Wars swap-Mos Eisley Cantina theme to be exact. I have to make one ATC with my choice of Cantina characters from Star Wars, and a bonus card of George Lucas. It was a challenge for me. I had fun doing them. It is my first time attempting a caricature using George Lucas...so don't laugh! I think it looks like him :)

Hand Drawn ATCs

I have worked on some more ATCs. I really am enjoying doing the hand drawn thing. It has really helped me build up my skills in drawing and being creative with watercolors and ink. I notice that I really enjoy working with paint, especially watercolors. Those are the first paint media I reach for when I want to add color to my work. Hope you enjoy the results. Top to bottom: Art Catz, Cupcake Obsession, and Jake.
