I altered this post card for a post card swap. I was sent 6 vintage post cards by the host with the agreement that I alter one post card and send it back to the hostess. I got to keep 5 for myself, very kind of the host :).
I titled this post card,"In the early days Anna was the fastest pony rider around." I sanded the front shiny side of the post card, then lightly gessoed it, and added some walnut ink to the gesso. Then I made a transparency out of the picture of the little girl on her horse, and then glued the aged cheesecloth, and star sequins to it. Last but not least, I cut out the words from an old book, and aged them some more with walnut ink. The end.
